GMA right to information manual
Article 21 (1) (f), of the 1992 Constitution says “All persons shall have the right to information subject to such qualifications and laws as are necessary for a democratic society”. Parliament, in furtherance of this, passed the Right to Information ACT, 2019 (Act 989) which His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo assented to on 21st May 2019. The RTI ACT 989 seeks to foster a culture of transparency and accountability in Public Institutions through access to information. The GMA has, in compliance with this law, created the Right to Information Unit, located within the Public Relations Unit of Jennifer Adwoa Twumwaa Annor as the Information Officer and the Head of the Information Unit per the RTI ACT Section 3 (3) (b).

The GMA encourages all persons seeking information to complete this form with a copy of their valid ID cards.
